100-ish Word Thought: The Ellusive Illusion

Social media marketing advice for wedding businesses; beige graphic reading "the ellusive illusion"; Julianne Smith

Hi. My name is regina.

Being aloof, playing hard to get, or putting on an air elusiveness in your marketing with potential leads is not a winning business strategy long term. It might feel good in the moment to be chased instead of being the chaser for once, but that is a high school B.S. marketing tactic if I ever heard one. Yes, there is such as thing as scarcity marketing and it does work. But, this is different. Being hard to get is a turn off. It’s not scarce. It’s annoying. And it's repelling leads that you don't even know about. Leads that you worked so hard to get. By being aloof or elusive, you’ve just dramatically increased your cost per client acquisition rate. You now have to work even harder to increase traffic, get more inquires, and close the deal. Instead of just being accessible to the leads you already have knocking on your door asking if you can come out to play.
