100-ish Word Thought: Ideally worthwhile
Your Ideal Client Has an Ideal Vendor
We talk a lot in the wedding industry about finding your ideal client.
Do they have the right budget? The right style? The right venue? Do they value what you do?
Are they a “good fit?”
All fair questions.
But while you’re busy deciding whether they’re your perfect client, there’s something important happening on the other side of that inquiry: They’re deciding whether you’re their perfect vendor.
And sometimes I think we get so focused on qualifying leads that we forget we’re still being interviewed too.
Every inquiry is an opportunity to show someone what it would be like to work with you.
Educate them. Help them. Answer the question they didn’t know to ask. Show them why your experience matters.
Maybe they aren’t the right fit. That’s fine.
But don’t spend so much time deciding whether they’re worth your time that you forget to show them why you’re worth theirs.
Your ideal client is looking for their ideal vendor too. Make sure they recognize you when they find you.
