100-ish Word Thought: Expose yourself
The Most Exposed Expert Wins
Here’s a weird thing about credibility right now: The person who knows the most isn’t necessarily the person who looks the most credible.
It’s the person we see the most. Yes, the one who is the most exposed, is the one who is considered the most credible.
In a social media, Google and AI driven world, exposure has become a shortcut for expertise.
If someone keeps showing up, even if it’s with wrong or misleading information, we start to trust that they know what they’re talking about.
So, what does this mean for your wedding business? You need to expose yourself. I said what I said.
Put your expertise where your future clients can find it. Post the tip. Answer the question. Share the work. Explain why you made that recommendation. Talk about the thing you wish every couple knew before hiring someone like you.
You might know more than your competitors. But your future clients can’t know what you know if you keep it to yourself.
Credibility isn’t just about having expertise anymore. It’s about exposing people to it. So, before you get yourself arrested, know that I’m talking about your expertise. Go expose that everywhere.
